Olmsted associated park: Acadia National Park, Maine
The shoreline of Acadia National Park not far from Bar Harbor, Maine, is bounded by enormous rocks. They are known as the Otter Cliffs and even on a day when the waters run fairly calm they present a world of drama. You can see their size thanks to the people who climbed down closer to the water's edge. This image was painted on the cliffs with finishing touches in the studio as the winds became too high too continue.
