Sometimes, life throws a curveball at you without warning. I have planned where I would like to paint in Atlanta, but on the second day we arrived, my wife had severe back pain suddenly. She had to stay in bed and could not move. My priority changed immediately. In order to assisted her for her daily basics, I could not leave her. My only plein air option had been limited to the backyard scenes of my host family. Usually, painting trees is not my cup of tea, but for this time trees is the only subject matter I must paint.
