"I often look for complimentary views of a subject so that I can work two paintings in parallel, thus being efficient as one or the other painting is drying. It also intrigues me to see the variety of ways that one can crop a view. This painting focuses on a detail of the barn that was featured in "Barn on Luthersville Road, and I liked the way that it was possible to find a vertical composition of a strongly horizontal structure. In this case the focus becomes the story of the trailer in the shed."
