“Glory Beach” any Crista Pisano

This was my demo painting at the 2022 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational, painted alongside fellow Olmsted artist and friend Cynthia Rosen. Cynthia and I painted from the same photograph except she painted very large, and I painted very small. Aside from this being a lot of fun, it was interesting to see how we both interpreted the same image in scale and style. The image was taken from Glory Beach on Jekyll Island. Before arriving in Atlanta, Cynthia and I stayed and painted on Saint Simons for a couple of days.
We also both were on the beach painting together the day we took this photograph that we painted our demo from. I will be returning to Glory Beach to paint again this year because I loved it there so very much.
