Painted on location at Lafayette, Louisiana, as part of Shadows on the Teche Plein Air in March 2023; located adjacent to St. John’s Cathedral, this beautiful structure, known as "L'eveche" (French for "bishops palace"), struck my eye late in the afternoon; I was intrigued by the light on the porch, which contrasted with the rest of the scene that was in shade; painting is a UV archival varnished watercolor on 200# rough Saunders Waterford paper archivally mounted to Gatorboard
