Olmsted associated park: Yosemite National Park, CA
This is a view of the side of Half Dome from Olmsted Point, just off the Tioga Road in the high sierra above Yosemite Valley. Frederick L Olmsted was instrumental in the early days of establishing Yosemite as a national park, and this location is named after him. Having hiked in the area, as well as to the top of Half Dome, one can appreciate the magnificence of the area and understand his inspiration as well.
