Painted on location at Delcambre, Louisiana, as part of Shadows on the Teche Plein Air in March 2023; this painting was done as part of "Delcambre Day", a day-long celebration in this small shrimping town near the Louisiana coast; stormy skies prevailed throughout the day, and the wind along the bayou blew at a rather constant gust; I was intrigued by the shapes of the boat and the complexity of the rigging; the day concluded with a show of painters work and a wonderful dinner along the bayou hosted by the
local community; painting is a UV archival varnished watercolor on 200# rough Saunders Waterford paper archivally mounted to Gatorboard
