I found my spot, it was my first walk about when I arrived in Atlanta for the Olmstead Plein Air Invitational! I was just wandering up and down Oakdale Road when I saw this little side street heading up a small incline. I just follwed my gut. I got to the top of the hill and it turned right. The short row of beautiful homes ended in a culdesac. "Okay self, I said,I have arrived"! There before me were beautiful homes with gardens in the front yards that were to die for. One with a mass of roses and pink peonies and a yellow one with black shutters and azaleas and a beautiful japanese maple. One of my favorite morifs; homes with gardens. Where to start! So I started with the yellow one! Much to my delight the owners came home and out for a chat! I think I met everyone that evening who lives in that little spot. An added benifit to the ambiance of the motif is the friendly folks too!
