The title suggests the aroma surrounding me when I was painting this. IT WAS INTOXICATIONG. As if the view of those million roses wasn't intensly beautiful in and of itself, adding the potent permotif extra specfume of the flower made this plein air motif extra special! The pleasant shade from the crepe myrtle tree engulfed me and the roses in it's coolness to make the experience delicious and comfortable. Oh, the old Monet quote, "anyone can paint a picture, but it takes an artist to make a garden" is on display in front of this lovely home. Someone put so much creative energy into this botanical spectacle and I feel blessed to have stumbled across it! Thank you to Dan and Pam who let me squish in a little to the flower bed to get the perfect view and a little more needed shade!
