OK, I love love love this spot on a small pond near our house when we lived in the Northwest. My best friend and painter owned a little corner of this pond. At a certain time of year the iris would bloom and the weather would warm. Our kids could play in the water and take out the canoe while we painted on the dock. It was literally my favorite place to paint, well at least while I was painting there. I tend to LOVE whatever I am painting. But this place was magical. Sometimes the canoe was adrift after the kids jumped into the water from it and it would glide gracefully into the reeds at the edge of the water. No worries, it was never lost, only resting, making this quiet little scene just glorious and paintable.
