On a hot day sunny day visiting the Mission, you can't imagine how refreshing it was to stumble on the fountain, loaded with blooming water lilies, the sound of the water trickeling, and coy beneath the surface, a virtual oasis. Here was perfect place to set up my easle. There is no such thing as a perfect location to paint, but this was as good as it gets. The ambiance, with it's prayer-filled atmoshere was calming and soothing to the soul.
