Bull Street Award – comprising the spine of Savannah’s Historic District – Named for Colonel William Bull (1673–1755), Bull Street forms the spine of Savannah’s Historic District and encapsulates the city’s essence. For this award, artists are invited to capture scenes along Bull Street, from the southern edge at lovely Forsyth Park to the northern terminus at Bay Street. Along this stretch lie some of Savannah’s most iconic sights: charming squares draped in Spanish moss, meticulously restored 19th- and early 20th-century architecture, beautiful private homes, soaring steeples, and a rich sense of history unique in Georgia.

From Chippewa Square to the Six Pence Pub to the Savannah Theatre, Bull Street offers plein air painters a wealth of inspiration and subject matter.
