Ponce de Leon Avenue—known locally as “Ponce”—is a historic east–west thoroughfare stretching from Spring Street in Midtown Atlanta to Stone Mountain Park. Established in 1872, Ponce grew alongside the city and was once a grand residential avenue home to many of Atlanta’s wealthiest families. As development expanded into neighborhoods such as Druid Hills, Buckhead, and Ansley Park, the corridor experienced a period of decline. Today, Ponce is undergoing a vibrant resurgence and has emerged as one of Atlanta’s most promising growth corridors.
