A.M. Plein Air Acworth
Oil on Wood Panel
12" x 16"
Here is a color and atmosphere study of the lake in Acworth one foggy dawn. During this painting, someone was kayaking on the lake beside me, and had accidentally turned the canoe upside down. It got stuck in the mud and was standing straight up in the air. I blogged this on instagram, because ALL the fire department were there. It was a right scene, and a great example of how much can be happening when catching these little glimpses of serenity in a two dimensional plane. Here, I had hoped to define well the space between the water and the grass which is SO full of life and movement while connected to the still waters of the mornings still sleepy inertia.
