After the Storm
Oil on Linen Panel
8" x 6"
I painted this just after the storm had passed, when everything felt softened and quiet again. The light was beginning to return, and instead of focusing on detail, I was drawn to the relationships of color--how the warmth and coolness described the atmosphere. It was less about the scene itself, and more about that feeling of stillness and renewal in the landscape.
