I am so lucky that I get to travel, stay, and paint in such beautiful locations throughout the country, but when it's time to go home, I have my majestic Hudson River. I get to see it and study it from the windows of my apartment, I take my daily walks along side of it, and even run errands or pick up food in my town and get to see it.....but my favorite times are at night when I get to watch the lights dance on the water. I truly believe I didn't find on my own my love of painting nocturne, I feel like the Hudson River at night courted me till I noticed it and fell in love. "Calm Night on the Hudson" is an autobiography.
