This scene was painted from a trip to Yellowstone last summer. I painted with a group of friends, we call ourselves 'The Story Tellers'. Since we all studied with John Burton, it's a great group to try and tackle similar approaches in painting. This scene was one of my favorites from the trip - it was from a big hike in the Bear Tooth Mountains.
