In the fall and winter months when I am not on the road traveling to and from Plein Air competitions, I get to spend time with my sweetheart, also a painter, who lives and works in Charleston SC. In my painting "Over Sea Under Sky", his love of painting clouds rubbed off on me. This was painted from one of our painting trips together from the beautiful coast of Georgia. The past year, I have been really interested in studying and painting where the horizon meets the sky... Whether there are interesting clouds or not one to be found... There is always something new to learn and try to translate into paint. "Over Sea Under Sky" is a larger one for me at 6" x 13-1/2".
