I was drawn to that single dark form standing against the sky, as the day was beginning to fade. Everything around it was shifting; the color, and atmosphere... but it held steady. The warmth of the branches to the right and the tree to the left seemed to gather and support it, quietly framing that moment of stillness, as the last light slipped away.
