This piece was inspired by a plein air painting I did in northwest France last year. My family and I had the opportunity to stay on a small cow farm in the french countryside, and each night we would watch the sun set over the surrounding hills and trees. On this particular evening the red sky and dark grey clouds created an inspiring scene. I ran and grabbed my paints and created the original version of this scene.
