I painted this piece alla prima during the 2024 Carmel Art Festival on a foggy, cool morning along the highway with my back to the ocean. The ocean lured me, but the beautiful cypress tree called to me. This painting was recently displayed at the LPAPA Gallery in Laguna Beach for the annual Signature Artist Exhibition.
