The light on these yellow daylilies caught my eye, turning their petals to gold. I wanted to capture the warmth, the movement, the way everything felt so summer like. As I painted, a butterfly was going from one flower to another drawn to the same light that inspired me. This painting isn't just about flowers - it's about a moment that I didn't want to let slip away.
